Second mural series: Guediawaye Stadium

On the second day of mural painting, the artists went to Guediawaye, one of Dakar’s giant banlieues.  The banlieues are outlying districts, where low-income families struggle with a lack of good roads, sewage and other infrastructure.  There are few jobs in the formal sector.  So the  people of Guediawaye, like the graffiti artists themselves, must exercise their creativity and ingenuity and prevail over a lack of resources to make a living.
