Senegalese Designers

In Dakar, Senegal, graffiti artists  have transformed the city’s ambiance through their murals and have transformed its fashion system through “les streetwear.”  They belong to the vibrant youth art scene affiliated with  Senegal’s enormous and socially active hip-hop movement.   Graffiti art flourishes in the context of movements to clean and beautify the disintegrating spaces of the artists’ culturally rich but economically impoverished city.
