Les Visages du Festigraff / The Faces of Festigraff
The artists at work and at play. They are in order:
- Mad Zoo (Serigne Moumar Fall), talented artist and leader in the “young” generation and the RBS Crew.
- Docta (Amadou Lamine Ngom), pioneer graffiti artists, and president of Doxadem Squad which organizes Festigraff.
- Nadia Kouma (Seika), artist from Switzerland.
- Maguette Diablosgraff Traoré, talented artist in the “young” generation, member of RBS Crew, and streetwear designer (www.doxkatt.com).
- Mow (Mouhamed Moustafa Souare), talented artist in the “young” generation, member of RBS Crew and artistic director for Hip2Hope rap crew.
- Chimere (Omar Diaw), talented artist of portraits in the “young” generation, member of RBS Crew.
- Big Key, a pioneer graffiti artist since 1998, founder of Mizerables Grafff with Deep, and known for encouraging and mentoring the young artists.
- Zeinixx (Dieynaba Sidibe), the only woman graffiti artist in Dakar. Also a poet and works at the Africulturban cultural center in the banlieue of Pikine.
- Grafixx (Oumar Diop), a pioneer graffiti artist from the banlieue of Charoye, and a talented graphic designer and streetwear designer. Graffiti director at the Africulturban cultural center in the banlieue of Pikine.
- Mbautta (Moussa Sane) a newcomer to the Dakar graffiti movement. He is a talented and experienced artist, designer, comic strip illustrator, and artist for the Attentrap rap crew in the far-flung banlieue of Yembeul.
- Nadib Bandi, artist from Switzerland with Big Key (see #7).
- Chimere again (see #6).
- Juan Marcelo, streetwear designer of the Mbedujolof Def Nek line; Chimere (see #6) and [TBA].
- Pape Amadou Camara, communications director for the Doxadem Squad which organizes Festigraff, and also education director for the G-Hip Hop cultural center in the banlieue of Guediawaye.
- Lilpee Bambey, graffiti artist, with Nadib Bandi (see #11).
- Malika Diagana, photographer and graphic designer, trying her hand at painting a mural for the first time.
